Market Value Drivers & Common Issues

Aluminum Fuel Tank Corrosion: Dual 238-gallon aluminum saddle tanks located along hull sides can suffer beneath-the-surface pitting from trapped moisture. Replacement is labor-intensive due to narrow access pathways through the aft cabin or engine space.

Galley Appliance Dimensions: Original full-size refrigerators are difficult to extract through companionway entry doors without removing trim or door frames.

Window Frame & Deck Seals: Wraparound salon windows and radar arch joint seals require regular recaulking to prevent water ingress onto interior cabinetry.

Gas vs. Diesel Engine Depreciation: Gasoline-powered units (Crusader 454/502) trade at a substantial market discount compared to Cummins or Cat diesel models.

Geographic Dispersion: Freshwater Great Lakes and inland river boats command premium pricing due to lower corrosion, limited UV wear, and seasonal usage compared to coastal saltwater units.
