2019 Palm Beach Motor Yachts 55' _{(16.76 m)} 55 Sedan

Overview

INDEPENDENCE is a desirable 3-stateroom version of this admired performance Downeast-inspired yacht. With less than 650hrs on her twin 725hp Volvo Penta engines, she represents an unusually low-hour, seasonal-use example. Her Volvo Penta IPA propulsion, joystick control with dynamic positioning, Side-Power bow thruster, and twin Quick gyro stabilizers make her exceptionally easy to handle while providing a comfortable platform for both coastal cruising and extended passages.

Her three-stateroom, two-head arrangement is particularly versatile and the most desired of the model. The forward owner’s cabin features a centerline double berth and ensuite head, while the starboard guest cabin offers twin berths (which convert to a joined double if desired), and the port guest cabin is a set of over-under singles. The salon is bright and airy with port, starboard, and aft drop-down windows and a U-shaped galley forward and opposite the helm. Fore and aft facing loveseats are to starboard while an L-shaped dinette is to port and centerline doors open to an expansive teak-decked cockpit with additional seating and dining for 6 to 8.

INDEPENDENCE has been and is currently professionally maintained and operated. Her Flag Blue topsides, cream deckhouse, exterior varnish, and freshly sanded aft deck teak present particularly well, as does her lightly used interior.

Broker Remarks

INDEPENDENCE is a particularly appealing Palm Beach 55 because of her low engine hours, three-cabin layout, extensive equipment, documented professional maintenance, and low use of her onboard systems. She has little to no interior wear, and her exterior is in above-average condition.

With IPS joystick handling, a bow thruster, twin gyro stabilizers, a tender garage, and a Williams jet tender, she is exceptionally well configured for owner-operated cruising. Her Flag Blue hull and timeless contemporary Palm Beach profile give her the appearance expected of a traditional yacht, while her construction, machinery, and systems provide the benefits of a thoroughly modern performance cruiser.

INDEPENDENCE is expected to remain available for viewing in the Northeast and represents a compelling opportunity for a buyer seeking an exceptionally well-kept low-hour Palm Beach 55 without the high cost or wait associated with new construction.
