New Beneteau Oceanis 40.1 Custom Sails:

After outfitting our New Beneteau Oceanis 40.1 with her First Line performance mast and rigging, it was only fitting to add custom performance cruising sails. These high-tech sails were specifically made to combine ease of sailing with performance to optimize cruising. From our friends at NeilPryde Sails came 3 sails, all custom-built for this model’s First Line performance package: mainsail, roller-furling jib, and roller-furling jib top. As the first of the Oceanis 40.1 in the United States to get the First Line performance package, it’s extremely exciting to get to explore the best options for this boat.

Jib: Flatdeck genoa furler brings the tack as low as possible for more sail area. Foam strips sewn into the luff of the sail keep the sails shape when reefing. Genoa sheet tracks allow for easy fine-tuning of the jib’s shape.

Jib top: Roller furling jib top is designed to be utilized in as many points of sail as possible for ease of sailing when cruising, yet also implements high-tech fabric for performance across those angles.
