Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) Construction
Hydrex Resin is a vinyl ester Thixotropic laminating resin that has a very low water absorption rate supplying superior blister resistance. Hydrex is installed in the skin-coat from gunwale to gunwale on the exterior, and waterline to waterline on the interior. This material is extremely important. The vessel's holding tank is located in the keel under the engine. This is thoroughly coated with Hydrex to prevent any possible blistering.
Pacific Trawlers puts a high level of focus on the safety features of their boats. From watertight compartments to extra thick fiberglass in areas of possible impact.

Notes from owner:
“Last Oil Change June, 2017 with very few hours since. As for prior oil changes, with fewer than 800 hours, there have not been many oil changes needed. I did most of them myself, Laborde Products, the area Yanmar distributor did a couple or so changes over the years. One reason that I did them myself is that I have a Reverso Oil Pump that is wonderful and it allows me to take the kind of care necessary to prevent spills. As you will recall, there is never an oil or diesel smell on Fair Haven, inside or out, notwithstanding that the dual Racor fuel filters are always changed when the oil is changed and they are in the engine room.”
