Marine Trader trawlers are touted as reliable, versatile cruisers perfect for cruising the Gulf Coast, Bahamas, or Great Loop. Built in Taiwan starting in the 1970’s, these boats are often categorized alongside heavy-hitting names like Grand Banks, DeFever, and C&L. Because many of these yards were within 20 miles of each other, there is often overlap with all of these brands as molds were shifted back and forth over the years.
Marine Trader vessels range in length from the MT 32 to the MT 50 Motoryacht.
Key characteristics of these boats will be solid fiberglass hull, prop-protecting keel, walkaround side decks, covered aft deck, and a spacious, teak-covered interior with choice of stateroom configurations.
