Beneteau Oceanis 34.1 Review
The Murray Yacht Sales Team got the chance to welcome this new model to the United States on an exhilarating delivery from her commissioning in Ft. Lauderdale down to Miami for the Miami International Boat Show starting the following week.
Top 3 takeaways from our first sail aboard the new Oceanis 34.1 model:
Salon size:
Walking down the cabin stairs inside the Oceanis 34.1 felt like stepping into a cabin much, much larger than a 34′ boat.
Divided Head/Shower Setup:
The option to divide the shower apart from the head is amazing on a boat this size. This follows the tendency for this boat to accommodate beyond her length.
Dry and expansive cockpit:
For the helm: Easily retractable seats prop in front of the leather-wrapped wheel with surprising leg room.
For the crew: Lengthy bench seats are topped with comfortable cushions, and we appreciated an expansive and easily accessible cockpit locker due to this specific boat’s 2 cabin layout w/ divided head. The spacing and layout of this cockpit felt impressively mobile.

The separation of this boat’s shower and head is a value-add on a boat this size, and will certainly be appreciated when used for extended trips.
While many modern boats prioritize the size of the forward v berth as the master cabin, the Beneteau Oceanis 34.1 actually makes the aft cabin, located on the starboard side, as the main cabin.
