The Cape Dory 30 is a classic American cruising sailboat, designed by the well-regarded naval architect Carl Alberg and built by Cape Dory Yachts. Intended as a sturdy coastal and limited offshore cruiser, the yacht reflects Alberg’s signature design philosophy of traditional lines, full-keel stability, and seaworthiness. Known as a manageable, durable cruiser rather than that of lighter and more modern production boats.
Peregrine is in good condition and a fine example of the design with a full compliment of sails, Equipped with GPS, tiller autopilot and auxiliary power via 2001 14 HP Beta diesel.

Construction and layout
The Cape Dory 30 is constructed with a robust solid fiberglass hull, longitudinal stringers tabbed into the hull,
a balsa-cored fiberglass deck, and a fiberglassed encapsulated full keel with an attached rudder. Designed by Carl Alberg for directional stability, durability and seaworthiness, The moderate displacement-to-length ratio gives the Cape Dory 30 a solid, comfortable motion.
Topsides of Peregrine need a good buff and wax, the brightwork would benefit from sanding and reapplication of varnish
A traditional interior, with an ergonomic layout optimized for a couple or a small family. A V-berth forward, abaft to port which is an enclosed electric head. To starboard is a custom sail storage locker. The main saloon has settees port and starboard, and a drop down table. Ample storage for extended cruising. Shelves outboard, cubbies port and starboard The compact galley to port is equipped with stainless steel sink and an Origo 3000 alcohol 2 burner stove. An ice box is to starboard, Ambient light and ventilation is enabled by opening ports and hatches, Off white upholstery in good condition. Teak sole.
