W.I.B. Crealock dies at 89; yacht designer and author

One of his designs, the Pacific Seacraft 36, was inducted into the American Sailboat Hall of Fame as a ‘classic American sailboat.’

W.I.B. Crealock was known for his meticulous concern for details and rigorous work ethic. He designed dinghies, brigantine-rigged sailing ships, catamarans and 70-foot powerboats. He even made preliminary designs for a charter submarine.
