Naval Architect
Biscontini Yacht Design – A specialized naval architecture firm based in Milan, Italy, that focuses on the design of high-performance racing and cruising sailing yachts. Founded in 1985 by Roberto Biscontini, the studio is renowned for applying cutting-edge America’s Cup racing technology to modern production and custom sailboats. Examples of Biscontin design include the Oceanis 52, First 44, First Yacht 53, Oceanis Yacht 54 & 60.
Interior & Exterior Designer
Lorenzo Argento is a prominent Italian yacht designer known for blending “Modern Yachting” aesthetics with functional, high-performance features. His relationship with Bénéteau began in late 2016 when he and naval architect Roberto Biscontini won a design competition to relaunch the legendary First range. Within this partnership, Argento typically spearheads the deck and interior design, focusing on “intuitive” layouts that simplify crew movement and maximize living space without sacrificing sailing efficiency. Notable collaborations include the award-winning First 30 (Voilier de l’Année 2026), the First 36 and 44, and the flagship First Yacht 53, as well as the Oceanis Yacht 54 & 60.
