- RULES
The 2016 Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) and the Corinthian Sailing Association Great Lake Race (GLR) Sailing Instructions will govern the Race. Corinthian Sailing Association will administer the Race.
- DIVISIONS
PHRF – Spinnaker, Non-Spinnaker, and Multihull divisions. Divisions may be broken into classes. Divisions are defined in the Sailing Instructions.
- ELIGIBILITY
Competitors: The race is open to all. Competitors need not be a member of a Yacht Club. Boat: Participating boats should have a current, signed GYA PHRF certificate. Boats without a PHRF certificate will be assigned a rating based upon similar boats. The assigned rating cannot be protested.
- ENTRY FEES
Early entry – registration by September 22: $40.00
Late entry – registration after September 22: $50.00

Competitors are urged to register early so that the Race Committee can assign accurate class breaks.

Dates
Friday, September 23: NOYC
6:30-7:30 PM: Late Registration
7:00-11:00 PM: Crew Party at NOYC; Race packets will be issued, race course will be declared & class breaks set.
Saturday, September 24
9:00 AM: First Start. 20 nm steeplechase using fixed marks. Starts will be staggered starts according to PHRF rating. The Sailing Instructions will list start times for each PHRF rating.
Awards presentation and Post-Race Party–following the race at NOYC.

- REGISTRATION
Registration must be completed using the link provided at www.corinthians.org . Registrations will not be accepted after the conclusion of the Skippers meeting.
- SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
Sailing Instructions will be posted on the CSA web site in draft form at http://www.corinthians.org/ and will be available in final form at the skippers meeting.
- PENALTIES FOR BREAKING RULES OF PART 2
RRS Rule 44-720 degrees turn penalties for breaking Rules of RRS Part 2 will apply.
- PROTESTS
Protests will be heard by the CSA Protest Committee according to the CSA Sailing Instructions at NOYC following the race.
- PRIZES
Prizes will be awarded to First, Second, and Third Place boats in each class provided sufficient boats register. The overall fleet winner will be awarded the Wendell Gauthier Perpetual trophy. CSA members will be eligible to win the Charles Erickson Perpetual trophy (1st in Spinnaker Division) & the Nathaniel Belloni perpetual trophy (1st in Non-Spinnaker Division)
